06 Sep A Guide to your Lash Extensions in the Fall

As Summer is coming to an end and we roll into Fall many of us seek anything to help quicken the morning routine. Lash extensions are great way to Wake up in your Makeup and get a jump start on your day. They give you that bright eyed gorgeous look everyone wants. In this blog we will talk about a few thing that can help you with your lash issues as we roll into in the fall and the colder months.

Everyone naturally sheds lashes, about two to five per eye per day. We also all go through what is called a lash shed a few times a year. Fall seems to be one of those times that this happens. Unfortunately there is no way around mother nature, but there a few things you can do to keep your lash extensions looking full and healthy.

There is a reason we recommend getting lash fills every two weeks. This is to ensure your lashes stay full and beautiful. As mentioned before, you naturally shed a few lashes per day, so after two weeks you have lost 70 lashes at a minimum. Fall seems to be one of the times of the year, that most people go through a natural lash shed as well. Thats why it’s so important to keep up with your lash extension fills every two weeks.

Another thing that is VERY important in order to keep up the look of your lashes, is proper cleansing. We give every client

of ours a bottle of our Fresh Start eyelash cleanser after they receive a full set of lash extensions. It’s important to wash your lashes daily, in order to remove make up or debris that may have come in contact with your lashes thought the day. We recommend you wet your eye area and apply 2 to 3 pumps of Fresh Start cleanser. Keep your eyes closed while doing this, and really rinse your eyes with water to make sure you have removed the cleanser from your eyes. This will help the life of your lash extensions by helping your lashes look clean and healthy.

Fall also brings allergies and as a company who takes the sensitivity of our clients very seriously, we strive to do everything we can do to help. This is why we offer a Fresh Start in a Gentle version. The first ingredient is water and just like our regular version it works well to remove make up and debris from the day, gently. We also have a sensitive addy, which is an adhesive we recommend using for clients with a more sensitive eye.
